Colorless, Transparent Liquid or tiny yellow. Melting point of -48.8°C, boiling point of 242°C, flash point 99°C. It can be dissolved in water and carbon tetrachloride. It has the miscibility with diethyl ether, acetone, benzene and so on. It is an excellent solvent polarity.
Application:
Propylene Carbonate is a high quality solvent for de-gassing purposes. It is used in petroleum processing, oil field and decarbonation of ammonium. It is also used as synthetic fiber finishing agent and color fixer for textile industry. It is also used as polymer solvent in polymer industry.
